What can you expect
from your eye test?
At Cooper & Leatherbarrow you can expect a fully personalised eye examination. Our Optometrists will begin by asking you about your general and eye health before carrying out a series of painless and simple tests to check your sight and look for any signs of potential eye disease like glaucoma, cataract and macular degeneration.
The results of your eye test will be explained to you fully and you will have the opportunity to ask as many questions as you like. Your appointment will not be rushed and if spectacles or contact lenses are advised, you will be given plenty of assistance by our friendly, experienced front of house team to make the perfect choice for your needs.

Prescribing & Minor Eye Conditions Service
Have you noticed a sudden change to your eyesight, are you experiencing pain, flashes and floaters or another symptom that’s concerning you?
Cooper & Leatherbarrow offer emergency appointments for anyone who is experiencing a problem with their eyes. We have optometrists with Independent Prescribing qualifications that allows us to treat conditions and prescribe medications which would normally require referral to your GP or hospital.
We will use our modern equipment to check the health of your eyes, diagnose and recommend a course of treatment. We are able to prescribe eye drops, creams, or even tablets to treat minor eye infections, inflammation or allergies. If referral to specialist services is required, we will advise you on your next steps.
