Orthokeratology at Cooper and Leatherbarrow

At Cooper and Leatherbarrow, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our service and assessing the newest methods to offer our clients the best forms of sight correction. We are eagerly anticipating the delivery of a state of the art Rodenstock DNEye Scanner at the end of January. This will allow us to offer Orthokeratology in Darlington.

Orthokeratology (or Ortho-K) is a method of correcting short-sightedness (myopia) by wearing a contact lens overnight. The lenses are removed in the morning, but the patient continues to enjoy benefits to their sight during the day without the need to wear contact lenses or spectacles. It is also the best non-pharmalogical way of controlling the progression of myopia in children and younger people.
