Our history
Cooper & Leatherbarrow was established in 1902 by Ernest Cooper in a former photographer’s business on the corner of Russell Street and Northgate in Darlington (opposite to where Marks & Spencer currently stands).
George Leatherbarrow joined the practice in 1912, and the business became Cooper & Leatherbarrow in the mid-1930s.
The move to our current location in Duke Street came in 1967, from where our family firm has served our clients ever since.
